Valentines Heart Krispies Treats

These Valentine’s Krispies treats are cute as can be! They’re a perfect Valentine’s Day treat for kids and adults. Make these simple Rice Krispies treats for class parties or treats at home.

A classic Krispies treats recipe, cut out into hearts, then dipped in vanilla-flavored candy coating and topped with sprinkles.
This sweet snack makes a fun dessert or movie night snack for the family. Plus, they’re fun to make and get the kids involved. Pack in a clear plastic bag with some pink or red ribbon for a cute Valentine’s gift or party favor.
Heart Krispies Treat Recipe

Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp butter
- 10 packages of mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 10 drops of red food coloring
- 1 cup pink candy melts
- Valentine’s sprinkles
Tools & Equipment
- Large pot
- Large spoon
- 9”x13” baking pan
- Parchment paper (optional, but makes clean-up easier)
- Heart cookie cutter
- Baking sheet
How to make Heart Krispies Treats
1. Line a baking pan with parchment paper (which makes this recipe easier), or grease the baking pan.
2. Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat.

3. Add marshmallows and heat until melted, stirring often.

4. Add the food coloring and stir until the color is solid.

5. Add the rice krispies, and stir until combined.

6. Pour the mixture into the baking pan, and refrigerate for 1 hour to set.

7. Remove the parchment paper with treats from the pan, set it on a counter or cutting board, and use the cookie cutter to cut as many hearts as you can.

8. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
9. Add candy melts to a small bowl and heat on high for 30-second intervals in the microwave, stirring between each heating session, until fully melted.

10. Dip one side of each heart into the melted candy, and set it on the parchment sheet. Add sprinkles.

11. Transfer to the refrigerator for about 30 minutes until the candy sets.

Tips and Tricks
- You can use any size heart cookie cutter you want. The size will affect the number of treats that you are able to make. Mine was 3 inches.
- Feel free to use different cereals or add your favorite mix-ins.
