How to Make a Valentine’s Charcuterie Board

Cut Cheese Hearts:
Slice your blocks of cheese in half lengthwise, so you have two rectangular blocks. Use the cutter to cut heart shapes into the blocks of cheese. (then eat the scraps, so no cheese is wasted)

Make the Pepperoni Roses:
Grab a shot glass. Place the pepperoni slice on the rim, half inside and half outside the glass. Add the next slice of pepperoni halfway over that one, then halfway over the next, etc.
You will use 10 slices total per rose. Push the pepperoni slices against the inside and outside of the shot glass, which will help keep the roses formed.
Assemble the Charcuterie Board:

Arrange the crackers onto your board, starting from the top left, then stacking down on an angle, 1-2 inches from the bottom right corner.

Place a pepperoni rose above and below the crackers, in the center of your line of crackers.

Arrange cheddar cheese hearts above the crackers, to the right of the pepperoni rose to help hold it in place. Do the same with the pepper jack cheese to the left of the bottom rose.

Add Conversation Hearts under the bottom pepperoni rose and to the right, until you meet the crackers.

Add another pepperoni rose under the cheddar cheese hearts, against the crackers.

Add chocolate hearts under the pepperoni rose, filling the bottom corner of the board.

Add raspberries all around the cheddar cheese hearts, meeting at the pepperoni roses, and also to the left of the pepperjack cheese, filling in that left side.

Add M&Ms above and next to the top rose, and above the chocolate hearts.
Add the final pepperoni rose to the top right corner. And voila! You have a gorgeous Valentine’s Day-inspired charcuterie board.

Variations
- Use other fresh fruit like strawberries.
- You can also use different meats to make the roses. Try salami roses instead.
- Use any heart-shaped chocolate can be white chocolate, milk chocolate, or dark chocolate.
- Add your favorite cookies, and heart-shaped macarons would also be perfect for this board.
- Use other small candies.
Tips and Tricks
- When initially slicing the cheese, you can choose to do 2 or 3 slices instead of one, to make the cheese a bit thinner.
- You’ll need a small heart-shaped cutter for the cheese. You could use the smallest one of these.
- This cutting board is similar in size to the one I used.
