If you’d like to stay connected with us, be sure to subscribe to our updates! I never spam, and generally, only email out about once per week. (Your email is probably already filled with school sign-up requests, and work-related to-dos, so the last thing I want to do is add to the load!)

and I’m the mom behind this blog.

When I’m not working on this blog, I try my best to parent my amazing little boy, who has special needs but is also very gifted.

I’m always looking for ways to save time on the boring stuff and have fun with my kiddo, and I want to help you do the same.

A few years ago, I had my son, at 27 weeks. I had pre-eclampsia and was very lucky that both my little boy and I are still here to tell the story.

He then went on to spend the first 10 months of his life in the hospital before being allowed to come home. It was a terrible time but it taught me that I’m stronger than I ever thought I was.

He has multiple diagnoses, with the main ones being chronic lung disease and septo-optic dysplasia. Was discharged on oxygen and with a gastrostomy.

He is now seven, a complete monster at times, going through getting a diagnosis for autism and I do my best to homeschool him, while still having fun and appreciating the fact that I am so lucky to have him.

Acrazyfamily.com also features some of the best DIY projects, recipes and lifestyle tips from blogs across the internet. My goal is to organize these sources and help you find the best blog posts for each selected topic with the goals of saving you time (and money).

We work hard to carefully curate all the content on our site. We treat our readers like our best, most chic, admirable and savvy mom friend, and if we don’t get excited about something, then it won’t be shared here.

I spend several hours a week researching through social media, search engines, magazines, and other sources to find the best sources for each particular topic. I utilize strict criteria to make selections (reviews, number of social shares, comments, authorship, etc.).

Most of the sourced material on acrazyfamily.com is posted according to the fair use doctrine of copyright law for non-commercial reporting, education and discussion purposes.

If you don’t want free traffic, I will comply with all takedown requests. Please send takedown requests to: [email protected]

Still reading?  Here’s a little backstory to the site:

When I started this blog, it was only going to be list posts of great ideas I had found.  Jayandel was based on mine and hubbies name and purposely vague because I thought I’d be writing about a broad range of topics that appeal to me.

This was a recipe site that was started by my mom and myself in December 2018, we made a great start publishing almost 30 recipes and then basically ignored it. So this year I made the decision to merge all posts onto this site and try harder with this area of the blog.

(As it is taking me time to update old posts, photos, etc, you may continue to see reference to both “JAYANDEL” and “FOODFORFOUGHT” during the whole process of the re-branding.)
