ham cheese pinwheel ingredients
  • Flour Tortillas – Use large, soft flour tortillas for easy rolling. Smaller ones will work too, but you’ll get fewer pinwheels.
  • Cream Cheese – Make sure it’s softened to room temperature so it spreads smoothly and mixes easily with the seasonings.
  • Dry Ranch Seasoning – Adds that classic savory flavor that pairs perfectly with the ham and cheese. You can adjust the amount to taste.
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese – Sharp cheddar gives these pinwheels a nice cheesy flavor. You can also use mild cheddar or a cheese blend if you prefer.
  • Deli-Style Ham – Choose thinly sliced ham for easy layering and rolling. You can use any type you like—honey ham, smoked ham, or even leftover holiday ham.

  • Variations – Switch things up by using sliced turkey or roast beef instead of ham, or try adding a layer of spinach leaves for color and freshness. You can also swap the cream cheese for flavored spreads like garlic herb, hummus, or pesto to give these pinwheels a fun twist.

How to Make Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

Don’t worry—these ham and cheese pinwheels are easier to make than they look and come together in just a few simple steps. You’ll find the full printable instructions in the recipe card below.

  • Mix the filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and ranch seasoning until smooth. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Assemble: Lay the tortillas flat and spread about ¼ of the mixture evenly over each one, right to the edges.
  • Add the ham: Cut the ham into small pieces and scatter evenly over each tortilla.
  • Roll and chill: Roll each tortilla tightly and refrigerate for about 1 hour to firm up.
  • Slice and serve: Trim the ends, then cut each roll into 1-inch pieces. Arrange on a platter and serve.

Serving Suggestions

These ham and cheese pinwheels are delicious on their own, but they also pair wonderfully with a dipping sauce for extra flavor. Try serving them with cool, creamy ranch dressing, tangy honey mustard, or smoky BBQ sauce for a fun twist.

They make a great addition to any party platter, picnic spread, or lunchbox, and taste just as good served cold as at room temperature. For a more complete snack board, pair them with fresh veggies, chips, or fruit on the side.
