These tasty chicken bites are a perfect party appetizer. Candied bacon wrapped around chunks of chicken creates the most delicious snack for parties. I love making these for gatherings, family parties, or even kids’ birthdays or playdates, as they are so easy to make, and they taste amazing. These bacon and chicken bites are a favorite!

They also make a great dinner or lunch, as you can serve them with chips or other side dishes. Some are suggested later in this post. For now, here is everything you need to know to make the air-fried bacon-wrapped chicken bites.

  • Bacon
  • Brown sugar
  • Smoked paprika

Substitutions and Additions

  • You could make a vegetarian or plant-based version of this by using plant-based bacon and substituting the chicken for something like asparagus or other vegetables. 
  • Why not have bacon-wrapped vegetables instead? This would work perfectly with courgette or peppers for something a little different. 
  • You could use boneless chicken thighs instead of chicken breast if you wish. 
  • Spice things up by adding a little chili powder to the paprika and sugar for a different flavor.

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees.
  2. Cut the chicken into 16 bite-size pieces.
  3. Cut the bacon in half, and use one half to wrap each piece of chicken. Secure with a toothpick.

  2. Add the chicken to the bowl and toss to coat.

  • Make sure you toss the air fryer basket a couple of times during cooking. This ensures the chicken is coated with a sugar and paprika mixture to even out the flavor. 

Serving Suggestions

This is perfectly served as it is or with a dip of your choosing. Ranch, BBQ, or sweet chili sauces are all great options.

You could also serve the chicken as it is with some chips and vegetables to make it a more substantial meal. Adding to a warm sandwich with some salad and sauce would also be great.
