How to Make Red, White, and Blue Charcuterie Cups
Slice and shape: Use a star cutter to cut six stars from both the cheese and the watermelon. Slice strawberries in half.

Make the salami skewers: Fold one slice of salami in half, then in half again. Skewer through the center. Repeat with a second slice, alternating folds to create a ruffled ribbon.

Add watermelon to skewers: Carefully skewer watermelon stars by pushing the skewer through one of the points to keep it looking nice.
Start assembling: Place one large cracker standing vertically toward the back of each plastic cup.
Trail mix base: Add trail mix to each cup, but save some for the final filling.
Insert skewers: Place a salami skewer on the right side and a watermelon skewer on the left. Use the remaining trail mix to help secure them upright.

Add fruit: Spoon in blueberries and place a halved strawberry, cut side up, on the left side of each cup.
Top with cheese: Place a cheese star on top of the blueberries, next to the strawberry.

Chill: Refrigerate until ready to serve!

Red, White, and Blue Charcuterie Cups
Ingredients
- 6 large crackers
- 7 oz bag of trail mix Tropical mix is great, but use any kind you love
- 12 slices salami
- ½ inch thick slice of watermelon Enough to cut six stars
- 1 cup blueberries
- 3 strawberries Halved
- 2 oz Monterey Jack cheese Cut into six star shapes
Instructions
- Start by cutting 6 star shapes out of the cheese and watermelon. Then slice the strawberries in half.
- With a skewer handy, fold a slice of salami in half, then in half again. Stick a skewer through the center. Then repeat with a second slice of salami, alternating the position of the fold, so it looks like a “ribbon” of salami.
- Add the watermelon stars onto a skewer, making sure you poke through a “point” in the star first, so that is at the top.
- Add a cracker to the back of each cup.
- Add some trail mix to the 6 cups. Don’t use it all just yet, you will finish in the following steps.
- Set the salami skewer on the right, then the watermelon skewer on the left. Fill in to help secure the skewers with the rest of the trail mix, divided between the 6 cups.
- Now add blueberries to each cup.
- Set a strawberry, cut side up on the left.
- Place the cheese star on top of the blueberries next to the strawberry.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
