Easy Cinnamon Twist Easter Bunnies

Not only do these delicious treats look adorable, but they are incredibly easy to make with minimal ingredients that you probably have lying around in your pantry. 

These Easter bunny cinnamon twist pastries are perfect for brunch or as an after-dinner treat, and with their flaky layers of puff pastry surrounding sugary cinnamon filling and topped off with a cute little tail, each one looks like an adorable bunny.

Ingredients

  • Frozen puff pastry
  • Melted butter
  • Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Whip cream

How To Make Cute Easter Bunny Pastries

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

2. Let the puff pastry thaw and unfold onto a cutting board.

3. Spread melted butter on one piece of the puff pastry, leaving a half inch on top and bottom.

4. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle on top of the melted butter.

5. Lay the second piece of puff pastry on top of the cinnamon-sugared puff pastry. 

6. Crimp the top and bottom of  the pastries together with a fork 

7. Using a pizza cutter, cut 15 strips of puff pastry.

8. To assemble the bunnies, first, place a strip of pastry in a U shape.

9. Fold one side over the other and repeat one to two more times.

10. Press each twist firmly down on the prepared baking sheet so that each strip is twisted and resembles a bunny shape

11. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

12. Once completely cooled, spray a small amount of whip in the shape at the bottom of the twist to resemble a bunny tail.

  • Be sure to use melted butter to spread on the pastry sheet, or it could tear.
