Magic cookie bars are one of my favorite treats to make, and these are a tasty variation. Loaded with chocolate chips and coconut, the addition of candied cherries is what really makes this recipe top-notch. These cherry layer bars are perfect for a treat at home, and also make a great addition to holiday cookie boxes!

Chocolate Cherry Magic Bars

Ingredients:

Ingredients 1
  • ⅓ cup butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup coconut flakes
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup candied cherries
  • Parchment paper (optional)

How To Make Chocolate Cherry Magic Bars

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Melt the butter and mix with the graham cracker crumbs.
Process 1
  • Spread the mixture in a 13 x 9 baking pan lined with parchment paper.
Process 2
  • Pour sweetened condensed milk over the crumb mixture, evenly coating the entire pan.
Process 3
  • Sprinkle coconut and chocolate chips evenly across the baking pan.

  • Top with candied cherries.
Process 6
  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  • Cool for 1 hour, then cut into bars.
