These cotton candy mocktails are a fantastic way for your kids to celebrate New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, or any other holiday party.

While enjoying an adult beverage is fun for the adults in the family, these drinks aren’t exactly family-friendly. That’s why I love coming up with fun, kid-friendly drinks, and these cool cotton candy mocktails are the perfect way for your kids to celebrate.

There are two things I love about these fun mocktails. One – they’re made with candy and soda. What kid wouldn’t love that combination? And two – they are just as fun to make as they are to drink.

In fact, these cool cotton candy mocktails put on a fun, fizzy show each time you make glass. So, as you’re putting these easy drinks together, make sure you have an audience.

I guarantee your little ones will be so impressed with these fun drinks they’ll want you to make them over and over again!

How To Make Cotton Candy Mocktails

The first step to making any great drink is finding the perfect glass. In this case, a “glass” probably isn’t the best idea – especially if kids are involved. Instead, I decided to use plastic champagne flutes.

They’re festive enough for the holiday without the dangers of broken glass that come along with traditional barware.

Next, you’ll need to dress up your drink to make it look amazing for your party or celebration. First, wet a paper towel and rub it around the rim of each glass. Then, dip the rim of the glass in some pink sanding sugar.

After all the glasses are decorated, start adding your cotton candy. Fill each glass to the top with cotton candy to ensure there is plenty of foaming and fizzing when you start pouring your drink into the glass.

The next step to making these fun cotton candy mocktails is to add the soda.

To make our mocktails, I used strawberry soda. But there are a few different options you could choose to make this mocktail your own.

If your family isn’t a fan of strawberry soda, you could use:

  • Lemon-lime soda
  • Ginger Ale
  • Sparkling grape juice
  • Strawberry Lemonade soda

Whatever mixer you choose to use, make sure it’s carbonated. The carbonation is what makes this mocktail so special.

Pour the soda over the top of the cotton candy very slowly. You’ll notice that the second the soda hits the cotton candy, it begins to foam and fizz.

And if you drink it quickly enough after pouring, you’ll even feel some bubbles hit your nose. What could be more fun than that?
