How to Store

If you don’t want to serve them warm, allow them to cool before transferring them to an airtight container and storing them at room temperature. They will keep for up to 7 days.

You can freeze them in an airtight container or a freezer-safe Ziploc bag for up to 2 months, then thaw them overnight on the countertop.

If you want to warm them up again, just add them to a baking sheet and heat a little before serving.

Recipe Tips and Advice

  • Let the pecans cool a little before serving. They are tasty, warm or cool.
  • Parchment paper will prevent the pecans from sticking to your baking tray when baked in the oven.
  • Don’t handle the pecans by hand. The sugar will turn into a delicious caramel that will be hot to the touch.

It is suitable for vegetarians, but because of the use of eggs, it isn’t a recipe for vegans. You could look at trying a plant-based alternative to egg whites.
