Classic Grinch Christmas Trees

Bright Green & Red Grinch Tree

Grinch Character Tree

A tree where the Grinch himself becomes part of the decoration rather than simply using Grinch-colored ornaments.

“Stink, Stank, Stunk” Grinch Tree

Use the Grinch’s famous phrase as part of the tree decorations for a fun, unmistakably Grinch-themed look.

Whoville & Whimsical Grinch Trees

Whimsical Spiral Tree

This one is much more unusual, with the tree itself and its decorations creating a tall, playful, almost Whoville-like shape.

Whoville-Inspired Grinch Tree

A tall, colorful tree with the slightly crazy, over-the-top feeling that makes Whoville decorating so much fun.

Giant Whimsical Grinch Tree

This is one of your strongest wow-factor examples — huge, incredibly full, and packed with Grinch colors and decorations.

Oversized Grinch Christmas Tree

This one is all about more is more — oversized decorations, bright colors, and a very full tree.

Colorful Whoville Grinch Tree

A heavily decorated tree packed with bright colors, unusual ornaments, and whimsical decorations.

Candy-Themed Grinch Trees

The red-and-white candy elements combined with the Grinch green make this a particularly strong Christmas look.

Cindy Lou Who & Alternative Grinch Trees

A good example of extending the Grinch theme beyond the tree itself and decorating the surrounding room.

How to Decorate a Grinch Christmas Tree

You don’t need to copy one particular tree to get the look. Start with a few key elements and build from there.

Choose your colors

The easiest Grinch palette is:

• Lime green
• Red
• White
• A little black
• Optional pink for a Cindy Lou Who theme

Add plenty of texture

Mix different types of decorations rather than using identical baubles throughout the tree. Try:

• Wide ribbon
• Candy canes
• Peppermints
• Oversized ornaments
• Curly picks
• Large bows
• Grinch ornaments
• Character figures
• Candy decorations

Don’t worry about making it perfect

That’s actually one of the best things about a Whoville-inspired tree. Wonky, oversized, and slightly chaotic can be part of the look.
