Small knife
Small bowl
Spoon
- 16 oz package ready to bake sugar cookie dough (we recommend Pillsbury Eat-or-Bake Sugar Cookie Dough)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3-4 tbsp milk
- 12 Mini Reese’s Cups unwrapped (cut in half)
- 48 mini chocolate chips
- 24 orange sprinkles
- 48 Mini M&Ms
Prep the Oven: Preheat oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Bake Cookies: Arrange cookie dough 2–3 inches apart on the baking sheet. Bake 13–15 minutes until lightly golden. Cool on the sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire cooling rack for 10 minutes.
Prepare Icing: In a small bowl, gradually mix powdered sugar with 3–4 tablespoons of milk until thick and spreadable. Adjust milk as needed for consistency.
Decorate Cookies: Work in batches of three. Spoon a small amount of icing onto each cookie and spread slightly unevenly for a “melting” effect. Place a half Reese’s Cup on top for the hat. Add 2 mini chocolate chips below the hat for the eyes, an orange sprinkle for the nose, and 2 Mini M&Ms for the buttons.
Set Icing: Let the decorated cookies sit for 20–30 minutes to allow the icing to set completely.
Serve & Enjoy: Arrange on a festive platter or enjoy fresh with milk or hot cocoa!
