Begin by painting roughly ⅔ of a jumbo craft stick in the fall color of your choice. We red, green, and orange for ours. Let the paint dry completely.

While the paint is drying, a small square-ish piece from brown cardstock, as well as a slightly longer in width brown strip. Then cut another small strip from the color cardstock of your choice for the band.

Glue the band to the small square. Trim away any excess.

Glue the brim of the hat across the bottom.

Now, cut 6 small strands of orange yarn. You could use yellow, as well.

Glue the yarn to the back sides of the hat, three on each side.

Then, glue the hat to the top of the craft stick.

Next, add googly eyes.

Finally, use a black marker or pen to add a simple scarecrow mouth. A few crosshatch marks along the body finishes this darling craft stick scarecrow.
