Ingredients

Gingerbread syrup

  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp. Molasses
  • 1 tsp. Ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • Pinch Nutmeg

Gingerbread Latte

  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • ¼ cup gingerbread syrup more or less to taste
  • Whipped cream optional, for topping
  • Ground nutmeg optional, for topping
  • Cinnamon sticks optional, for topping

Instructions

Gingerbread Syrup

  • Combine the ingredients in a medium saucepan. Heat to a boil, and simmer for 10 minutes. Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container.

Gingerbread Latte

  • Add milk to a small saucepan.
  • Heat until steamy. Divide between two mugs.
  • To each mug, add ¼ cup of the espresso, and 2 tbsp. Gingerbread syrup.
  • Top with whipped cream, and add a gingerbread cookie, a sprinkle of nutmeg, or a cinnamon stick. Enjoy!
