Ingredients

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 can (5-ounce) chow mein noodles broken up slightly to better fit in muffin tin cavities
  • 36 Cadbury Mini Eggs

Instructions

  • Grease 12 cavities of a muffin tin.
  • Add chocolate and butterscotch to a heat-safe bowl over a saucepan filled with an inch of water or a double boiler, and melt over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and completely melted.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in chow mein noodles.
  • Divide the mixture between the 12 greased muffin tin cavities, and make a “nest” in the center.
  • Add candy eggs, and refrigerate for 1 hour to set.

Notes

Make sure to grease your muffin tin well to prevent sticking. You can also use wax paper or cupcake liners for easier removal.
Use two spoons to shape the nests, as the mixture will still be warm and difficult to handle with just one spoon.
Experiment with different candies or toppings to create unique variations of this recipe.
