Cheese and Marmite Puff Pastry Twists

These Cheese and Marmite Puff Pastry Twists are quick & easy to make and even the fussiest of kids will love them. With only 3 ingredients and short cooking time, you could easily whip these up in a hurry, or a great after school snack for the kiddos!

Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry
  • Marmite
  • Grated Cheese dairy-free if making vegan
  • Egg Wash or Milk Glaze use dairy-free milk if vegan

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 190 degrees C/375 degrees F
  • Roll out puff pastry into an oblong.
  • Spread marmite over one half and sprinkle over the cheese.
  • Fold the pastry over the cheese and marmite mix.
  • Cut into fingers (about 1-inch to 1½-inches wide), twist around and place on a non stick baking tray.
  • Brush with egg wash or milk glaze.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes
  • Let them cool a little before eating.

You can bake these a day or two beforehand, and they will last for around four days. You can also make a batch and freeze it for when you need them.

Tips for Success

  • Brush the pastry with an egg glaze or milk wash to achieve that golden crunch.
  • Only cover half of the oblong pastry with marmite and cheese. Then, fold over the other side to cover it.
  • A nonstick baking tray ensures that the cheese and marmite puff pastry twists will not stick to the sheet once they are cooked.
