Wooden Bead Christmas Ornament Craft
Add a rustic touch to your Christmas tree this year with these simple yet charming wooden bead ornaments. These ornaments are a perfect addition to any farmhouse or country-style holiday decor and can be customized with different bead sizes, colors, and patterns.
Ingredients
- Wooden Beads Kit
- Pipe cleaner
- Faux holiday greenery for crafts
- Small pre-made bows
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Craft glue or hot glue gun
- Ribbon or twine
Instructions
- String your beads onto the pipe cleaner. I used a mixture of small and 8mm and 12mm beads, for a total of about 20-22.
- Twist the ends of the pipe cleaner together 3-4 times. Trim the excess.
- Using the craft glue or glue gun, attach the greenery to the top of the ornament.
- Either attach a pre-made or make your own bow to the middle of the greenery.
- Cut a 6” length of ribbon or twine, form a loop and using the craft glue or glue gun, attach to the top of the back side of the ornament. Allow to dry completely before hanging.
Notes
Younger children may need help with the gluing part of this craft. Younger children won’t be able to use a glue gun, so make sure you are around to help with that step.
This craft is perfect for older children, but younger kids can still get involved. They may need some guidance on threading the beads onto the pipe cleaner. If there is a mix of younger and older children, then the older ones could always show the younger ones what to do.
