Coffee Filter Tropical Fish Craft

Create vibrant tropical fish using coffee filters and washable markers with this fun and easy craft project. Perfect for kids, simple, budget-friendly, and educational!

Ingredients

  • Coffee Filters
  • Bright Bold Washable Markers
  • Spray Bottle
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Instructions

  • Fold coffee filter(s) in half.
  • Draw a half circle on the back, with a small triangle on the end.
  • Cut along the shape you drew.
  • Unfold and begin to color with the washable markers.
  • Once done, spray with water.
  • Let dry.

Notes

  • Fold and cut several at once to speed up the process.
  • Don’t use too much marker- it will flow all around once you spray it.
  • Only do this in an area that can get messy. The marker will bleed right through the filter and onto the surface below.
  • For a more fun look, glue googly eyes on each fish once they are dry.
  • Once you are done spraying, picking the filter up and putting it back down several times will make the colors bleed much more dramatically.
