Start by gluing 4 regular craft sticks on a sheet of black cardstock in a square pattern. Let the glue dry completely so that the sticks are set.

Once the glue is set, cut all the excess cardstock away from the sides of the craft sticks.

Now, cut 2 strips from white paper. Roll up the strips to make chalk. Glue the end to secure.

Then, glue the white paper “chalk” pieces to the chalkboard.

Finally, use a white paint pen or metallic marker to write your fun back to school message on the chalkboard.
