Caramel Apple Cream Cheese Twists

Ingredients

  • 20 oz apple pie filling
  • 2 puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon; plus more for topping
  • caramel syrup for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Let puff pastry come to room temperature. Roll out the sheet on flour to make sure the lines where it was folded don't break.
  • In a bowl, add the apple pie filling, cream cheese, and one tablespoon of cinnamon. Blend well with a hand mixer to break the chunks of apple down.
  • Fill the bottom half of the puff pastry and fold over. Cut into strips.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Twist the strips and place them onto the baking sheet. Sprinkle cinnamon on top. Bake for 22 minutes or until lightly browned and puffy.
  • Once slightly cooled drizzle with caramel syrup.
