Equipment

  • Flower silicone mold
  • 4 cup microwave safe measuring cup
  • Kitchen scale

Ingredients

  • 3 oz beeswax
  • 3 oz shea butter
  • 3 oz coconut oil
  • 20 drops plumeria fragrance oil
  • tsp Purplish Red Mica Powder

Instructions

  • Measure your beeswax, shea butter, and coconut oil by weight. You will need 3 ounces of each.
  • In the measuring cup, layer in order, beesway, shea butter, then coconut oil.
  • Heat in 30 second bursts, removing and stirring well after each heat session, until everything is fully melted. The beeswax will take the longest to melt.
  • Add fragrance oil, and mica powder. Stir very well for a few minutes to make sure the color is fully combined.
  • Set mold on a cutting board or baking sheet. Pour into the molds.
  • Refrigerate for 1-2 hours to set.
  • Remove from mold and store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Make sure you have all of your supplies to hand before you start. It is important to help you move to each step.
  • If children are helping then make sure they are supervised at all times. You will be dealing with hot oils essentially, so you may want to help them with that part.
  • If you are struggling to find some of these supplies in your local shop then searching online is a great place to start. You will likely find all of these ingredients on platforms like Amazon.
