Honey Mustard Ham & Swiss Handwiches

If you are craving something a bit more than a classic sandwich this honey mustard ham and cheese will hit the spot. Pair with your favorite sides and dive in.

Ingredients

  • 17.3 ounce package Puff Pastry thawed but cold
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons stone-ground mustard
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 cups ham diced
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese cubed

Instructions

  • Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the honey and mustard.
  • In a small dish, beat together egg and water, set aside.
  • On a floured surface, unfold puff pastry.
  • Cut four 4” circles out of the puff pastry.
  • Using a well-floured rolling pin, roll out the circles until thin and about 6.5” wide.
  • Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the second puff pastry sheet.
  • On each circle, add 2 heaping tablespoons of ham and 1 heaping tablespoon of cheese.
  • Drizzle 1 teaspoon of mustard mixture over each filled pastry circle.
  • Using a basting brush, spread egg wash onto the edge of each circle.
  • Fold each circle in half and seal by pressing a fork around the edges.
  • Brush egg wash or mustard sauce over the top of each of the pastries.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving.
